DHAKA, July 21, 2025 (BSS) - The Election Commission (EC) will publish the draft voters’ list for next parliament elections this month.

A total of 44,66,000 new voters will be included in the list, said Senior Secretary of the EC Secretariat Akhtar Ahmed.

Addressing a press briefing at his office, he said after publication of the draft the EC will receive application for any correction or amendment to the draft.

Responding to a question about polling officers’ appointment, he said that the EC is yet to discuss the matter.

The boundary demarcation of the parliamentary constituency is at final stage, he said adding that the matter is expected to resolve within a couple of days.

Regarding the pending work of National Identity (NID) correction, he said the EC received about 26,000 applications till May 31 for correction, which will be resolved in August.
