Advisers mourn loss of lives in Uttara jet crash

DHAKA, July 21, 2025 (BSS)- Advisers of the interim government today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the loss of lives in the crash of a training jet of Bangladesh Air Force on a school building in the capital.

Finance Adviser Dr Saleh Uddin Ahmed, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Dr Asif Nazurl, Home Adviser Lt. Gen. (retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Food Adviser Ali Imam Majumder, Education Adviser Professor Dr Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar, Environment, Forests and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Liberation War Affairs Adviser Faruk-e-Azam, Bir Pratik, Shipping Adviser Brigadier General (retd) Dr M Sakhawat Hossain, Primary and Mass Education Adviser Dr Bidhan Ranjan Roy Poddar, Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhter, Social Welfare Adviser Sharmin S Murshid, Religion Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossain, Commerce Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin, Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md Mahfuj Alam and Cultural Affairs Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki expressed their deep shock and sorrow over the incident.

The advisers in separate messages prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.

They also prayed for quick recovery of those injured persons.
