Advisers Fouzul Kabir, Rizwana visit affected areas in Gopalganj

GOPALGANJ, July 22, 2025 (BSS) - Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan and Environment, Forest and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan today visited the areas affected during a series of clashes and attacks in Gopalganj centering the National Citizen Party (NCP) march programme.
 
During the visit, they went to Gopalganj District Jail and spoke with prison authorities.
 
They also took information about various issues. 
 
After that, the two advisers visited the damaged structures including the NCP meeting venue, the clash site, and the July Memorial.
 
Cabinet Secretary Dr. Sheikh Abdur Rashid, IG Prison Brigadier General Syed Md. Motaher Hossain, Dhaka Divisional Commissioner Sharaf Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury, Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Kamruzzaman, and Police Superintendent Mizanur Rahman, among others, were present on the occasion.
