JU VC leaves for USA to attend JU alumni global reunion

JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, July 23, 2025 (BSS) - Jahangirnagar University (JU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan has left for the United States on a five-day visit to attend the JU Alumni Association DC (JUAA-DC) Global Reunion 2025 at their invitation.

The Vice-Chancellor departed for Virginia, USA yesterday, said a press release signed by JU's acting Director of Public Relation Office, Mohammad Mahiuddin this morning.

During the visit, Professor Ahsan will deliver a keynote speech in a seminar on July 26 titled 'Teaching and Learning in Bangladesh Universities - Past and Future.'

The seminar will focus on enhancing academic skills and quality education at the university level to better prepare students for higher studies, research, and professional life.

Besides, the Vice-Chancellor will participate in an alumni meeting on July 23 and attend various reunion events scheduled from July 25 to 27.

The visit aims to strengthen the connection among former JU students and professionals residing across the globe.

He is expected to return to Bangladesh on July 28, 2025.
