DHAKA, July 23, 2025 (BSS) - The government has called upon the family members of the missing people in the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) fighter jet crash at Milestone School and Colleges in the capital's Uttara, to provide DNA samples at CID Malibagh office here.

"Family members whose children or relatives are not in the list of injured and deceased in the jet crash are requested to go to the capital's CID Malibagh office and provide samples for DNA matching", a health ministry release quoted Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser on Health and Family Welfare Dr. Md. Sayedur Rahman as saying.

Identifications of six bodies kept in the CMH (Combined Military Hospital) morgue have yet been confirmed, he said.

Samples have already been collected from the bodies for DNA analysis (profiling) under the supervision of experts from the Ministry of Health, Sayedur Rahman said.

"DNA profiling will be done at the CID laboratory very soon," he said.

He also said so far only one family has contacted and provided samples.

"If the samples of the missing family members are found, their identities will be confirmed through DNA matching within the shortest possible time. Everyone's cooperation is desired," he added.
