Govt reshuffles key CAAB position

DHAKA, July 23, 2025 (BSS)- The government has brought changes to a key position in the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), appointing Group Captain Md. Monirul Islam as the new Director of Flight Safety and Regulations.


A notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday said that Group Captain Md. Ahsan Habib, who previously held the position, has been withdrawn and sent back to the Bangladesh Air Force.


 His service has been placed under the Armed Forces Division.


Group Captain Md. Monirul Islam of the Bangladesh Air Force will replace him in the post. His service has been deputed to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, the notification added.
