Fire at Pallabi's Swapno outlet brought under control

DHAKA, July 23, 2025 (BSS) - A fire that broke out in an outlet of Bangladeshi supermarket chain Swapno next to Cosmos School in the capital's Pallabi this afternoon was brought under control within few minutes. 

The fire originated in the generator room of the Swapno outlet housed on the first floor of a six storey building at 1:13pm today, duty officer Rafi Al Faruk of Fire Service and Civil Defence told BSS. 

Two fire fighting engines from Pallabi Fire Station rushed to the spot and doused the flame at 1:35, he said.

No reports of casualties have so far been received and the cause behind the fire could not be said without investigation, he added.
