DHAKA, Dec 7, 2025 (BSS) - Dr. Zubaida Rahman, physician and daughter-in-law of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, has once again visited the city's Evercare Hospital to know the physical condition of the ailing former prime minister.

BNP Media Cell member Atiqur Rahman Rumon told journalists that she arrived at the hospital around 11:30 am on Sunday.

Zubaida Rahman arrived in Dhaka from London last Friday and went straight to the hospital to see her mother-in-law, Rumon said.

"Since then, she has been moving between her parental home and the hospital. Although she stays at the family residence at night, Zubaida has been in constant contact with the CCU physicians. At present, she is staying beside Begum Khaleda Zia in the hospital's CCU," he said.

Khaleda Zia has been undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital since November 23 after her condition deteriorated.

A specialist medical board, led by Professor Shahabuddin Talukder, is overseeing her treatment and Dr. Zubaida Rahman is also a member of the board.

Zubaida Rahman has been directly involved in coordinating the BNP chairperson's treatment. She also attended the medical board meeting that began at 12 pm on Sunday.

Tarique Rahman is joining the meeting virtually from London.

Besides, specialist physicians from the United States are also participating at the meeting.
