Activities in Shilpakala Academy to resume from Dec 21

DHAKA, Dec 20, 2025 (BSS) – Following the state mourning on the death of Shaheed Sharif Osman Bin Hadi, all activities including  programs and exhibitions at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy will resume from December 21.
Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy confirmed it in a press release today.

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus announced the state mourning on December 20 in an address to the nation, it added. 

Considering the situation, all activities at the academy were suspended from December 19 until further notice.

The academy clarified that claiming an indefinite closure of its all activities in some online and social media reports were unexpected and regrettable.
