Outgoing Navy Chief pays courtesy call on the President

DHAKA, July 21, 2026 (BSS) – Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Nazmul Hassan today paid a farewell courtesy call on President Mohammed Shahabuddin, also the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

During the meeting at Bangabhaban this noon, Admiral M Nazmul Hassan expressed his gratitude to the President for extending cooperation during his tenure.

He also briefed the President on the overall development activities of the Bangladesh Navy.

President thanked the outgoing Navy chief for discharging his duties successfully and efficiently and praised his contribution to the development of the force.

The President also expressed the hope that the ongoing development of the Bangladesh Navy would continue.

Secretaries concerned to the President's Office were present during the meeting.

Admiral M Nazmul Hassan will hand over charge to the new Chief of Naval Staff on July 23.
