Rain likely across country

DHAKA, July 27, 2026 (BSS) - Rain is likely in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours from 9am today, according to a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecast.

"Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions," said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.

It also forecast moderately heavy to heavy rainfall at places across the country.

Day and night temperatures may fall slightly over the country.

The highest temperature recorded on Sunday was 36 degrees Celsius in Sreemangal, while today's lowest temperature was 24.5 degrees Celsius in Sylhet.

During the last 24 hours until 6am today, the highest rainfall of 49 millimetres was recorded in Teknaf.

The sun will set at 6:44pm today and rise at 5:26am tomorrow in Dhaka.
