DHAKA, Aug 11, 2026, (BSS)- German Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Rüdiger Lotze met National University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr A S M Amanullah at the German Embassy in Dhaka yesterday.

During the meeting, they discussed the university’s education system, quality enhancement in higher education and potential academic and research cooperation with various German universities.

Dr Amanullah said the National University is putting special emphasis on technical and quality education to transform the country’s vast young population into a skilled workforce, according to a press release.

He said joint academic activities with German universities, teacher-student exchange programmes and mutual cooperation in advanced research would play an important role in equipping Bangladeshi students with skills suited to the global context.

Dr Rüdiger Lotze praised various educational activities of the National University and assured necessary cooperation from Germany in expanding higher education and enhancing skills in Bangladesh.
