Supervision strengthened to improve service quality at RpMCH: Dulu

RANGPUR, Aug 16, 2026 (BSS) - Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu has said that supervision is being strengthened to improve the cleanliness and quality of patient services at Rangpur Medical College and Hospital (RpMCH). 
 
"All necessary initiatives are being taken to restore the hospital to normal conditions," he said while briefing local reporters after inaugurating the 
new six-storey isolation building of RpMCH as the chief guest on Sunday afternoon. 
 
The minister said that to improve the cleanliness and quality of patient services at the hospital, he is constantly talking to the RpMCH director and 
the Public Works Department (PWD) engineers and keeping the issues under surveillance. 
 
"I am trying my best to restore the hospital to normal conditions," he said. 
 
He said that a meeting has already been held regarding the lighting system and installation of CCTV cameras in the hospital. 
 
He assured that direct progress to restore the hospital to normal conditions will be observed through the implementation of these measures very soon. 
 
Member of Parliament (MP) for the reserved women's seat Advocate Rezeka Sultana Fency, Rangpur Development Authority Chairman Md Shamsuzzaman Samu, Director of Rangpur Medical College Hospital Brigadier General Ashiqur Rahman and Principal of Rangpur Medical College Professor Dr Md Anwar Hossain were present at that time.
