During the meeting, discussions were held on CU's transport crisis. Foundation Chairman Al-Haj Mohammad Jashim Uddin assured cooperation in resolving the crisis. On the occasion, he announced the immediate donation of six new buses to make the university's transport system more efficient and dynamic.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Al-Forkan said it is challenging for the university administration alone to rapidly expand all facilities.
In this situation, he said, the coming forward of social organizations like the Jashim Uddin Foundation is commendable, adding that the addition of these six buses would considerably ease the university's transport crisis.
Foundation Director Al-Haj Mohammad Mokhtar Ahmad said the foundation has long been funding the spread of education and various social activities, and in keeping with that tradition, it has decided to give six new buses to CU teachers and students.
Foundation Chairman Al-Haj Mohammad Jashim Uddin said he is proud to be able to play a role in the welfare of CU, which has been spreading the light of education. The foundation would remain by the university's side in any constructive initiative in the future, he added.
