Online GDs launched in 122 police stations of Khulna, Barishal today

DHAKA, July 21, 2025 (BSS) - All types of online general diary (GD) services were launched today in all 122 police stations of all districts of Khulna and Barisal ranges and all police stations of Khulna Metropolitan Police and Barisal Metropolitan Police.
 
Bangladesh Police has launched the facility of doing all types of GDs online from home at the directives of the Chief Adviser, as part of the measures to simplify the police services, said a press release of the Police Headquarters.

Currently, online GD services are available in 457 police stations of Dhaka Range, Mymensingh Range, Sylhet Range and Sylhet Metropolitan Police, Chittagong Range and Chittagong Metropolitan Police, Rajshahi Range and Rajshahi Metropolitan Police and Rangpur Range and Rangpur Metropolitan Police.
 
It is worth mentioning that earlier only GDs related to loss and receipt could be done online.
 
To get online GD services, one can register by downloading the 'Online GD' app from the Google Play Store. In this case, there is no need to register more than once.
 
If anyone has difficulty in registering or doing online GD, he or she is requested to contact the hotline number 01320001428. This hotline number is open 24 hours.
 
The Police Headquarters said Bangladesh Police is committed to delivering police services to the doorstep of the people in the fastest and easiest way.
