Australian High Commission delegation pays courtesy call on CMP commissioner

CHATTOGRAM, July 22, 2025 (BSS) - A delegation from the Australian High Commission paid a courtesy call on Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) Commissioner Haseb Aziz at his office here today.
  
The CMP commissioner welcomed the four-member delegation led by Commander Glenn Suffolk of the Australian Navy. The delegation is visiting Chattogram as part of the Australian Government’s Crisis Preparedness and Assurance Team (CPAT) programme. 

During the meeting, the two sides discussed in detail the law and order situation in Chattogram, citizen security and assistance to foreign nationals during times of crisis. 

The CMP commissioner highlighted the preparedness and capability of the Metropolitan Police to protect Australian citizens and expressed hope for strengthening mutual cooperation in the future. 

Senior officials of CMP including Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Mahmuda Begum were present at the time. Other members of the delegation also participated in the discussion.
