ACC files case against 14 people including ex-MP Anwarul Abedin

DHAKA, July 22, 2025 (BSS) - The ACC today filed a case against 14 people including the former lawmaker from Mymensigh-9 constituency Anwarul Abedin Khan for embezzling money through false projects misusing his power.

Assistant Director (AD) of the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) Mymensingh Integrated District Office Md Bulu Miah filed the case against the former MP and others.

ACC Deputy Director (DD) Public Relations Department (PRD) Md Aktarul Islam revealed the information to the media at a briefing at its headquarters in city’s Segunbagicha area. 

The ACC alleged that the lawmaker in connivance with each other have misappropriated 835 metric tons of rice worth about Taka 2,87,00,000 through false projects by misusing his power as a lawmaker.
