DHAKA, July 22, 2025 (BSS) - BNP on behalf of the family of party’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman today organized a special prayer and ‘munajat’ seeking eternal peace of the departed souls and wishing speedy recovery of the injured over the fighter jet crash into the Milestone School and College campus in the city’s Uttara area. 

The prayer and munazat were held after Asr prayers at BNP Chairperson’s political office in city’s Gulshan area.

BNP Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan, BNP Chairperson's Private Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar, BNP Chairperson's Security Team Chief Coordinator Brigadier General Dr AKM Shamsul Islam (retd.), BNP National Executive Committee Member Belayet Hossain Mridha, BNP Chairperson's Office official Adv. Mehedul Islam Mehedi participated in the prayer. Hafez Maulana Humayun Kabir Khan led the prayer.

Besides, special prayers were held at various institutions across the country, including Bhashantek Orphanage in the capital, Bauniabad Mahila Madrasa Orphanage in Mirpur, Sonargaon Orphanage in Narayanganj, Masjid-e-R Rahman in Padmapara in Gabtoli Upazila of Bogra, Lathiganj Andha Madrasa and Orphanage, and Padmapara Technical Orphanage.
