DHAKA, July 26, 2025 (BSS) - BNP standing committee member Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan today visited the family of Okiya Ferdous Nidhi, a student who tragically lost her life in the Milestone School and College plane crash in Uttara.
Speaking to the media after the visit, Dr. Moyeen expressed profound grief and sorrow over the loss.
"We do not know the language to express our condolences. A flower has fallen before it could bloom," he said.
He emphasized that while accidents can happen at any time, incidents caused by negligence demand accountability.
"People across the country are asking: who is responsible, what led to the crash, and was there any failure in oversight? These are legitimate questions that must be answered," he said.
Calling for urgent action, Dr. Moyeen demanded that the families of those killed be adequately compensated, and that those injured receive proper medical care.
He also stressed the need for greater vigilance and safety measures to ensure such tragedies never happen again.
The entire nation is mourning. Let us learn from this and ensure that no other family has to suffer this kind of pain, he added.
