DHAKA, July 27, 2025 (BSS) - Police in separate raids in the capital's 
Jatrabari and Kafrul arrested nine suspected drug peddlers and seized 62 
kilograms of ganja from their possessions on Sunday and Friday.

The arrested were identified as Md Badhan (24), Alamgir (35) and Abdul Mannan 
(45), Md Monirul Islam alias Monir (32), Md Ismail Hossain (Saju) (30), Rakib 
Mia (22), Abdul Kudduch Mondal (48), Md Sohag Hawlader (42) and Md Abdullah 
(Uttam Kumar) (24), according to police press release.

Three separate cases were registered under the Narcotics Control Act with 
Jatrabari and Kafrul Police Stations.
