DMP files 1670 cases for traffic rule violations in Dhaka

DHAKA, July 27, 2025 (BSS) –Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 1670 cases for traffic rule violations across various areas of the capital.

According to Dhaka Metropolitan Police Media and Public Relations Division sources, the DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases and realized fines during July 26 through regular drive against traffic rules breakers.

It said the DMP traffic police dumped 254 motor vehicles and towed 136 vehicles during the campaign against traffic rule violations.

The DMP release further said these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets.

The DMP traffic division has been working to establish a smooth traffic system to ensure hassle-free movement for the city dwellers.
