DHAKA, July 28, 2026 (BSS) - The Ministry of Public Administration has withdrawn Assistant Commissioner (Land) Shaon Majumdar Suman from his post at Rangabali Upazila Land Office in Patuakhali and attached him to the ministry after allegations that he used a forged DO (Demi-Official) letter in the Deputy Speaker's name to seek undue advantages.

The order, issued in the public interest by order of the President, took immediate effect.

Earlier, the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat said the fake letter, bearing a forged signature, official letterhead, government logo and memo number, was not issued by Parliament and urged authorities to take legal action against those involved while advising institutions to verify such letters before accepting them.
