Eleven players earn full points in Individual Deaf Chess

DHAKA, April 25, 2024 (BSS) - The 1st Asia Pacific Individual Deaf Chess Championship organized by Bangladesh Deaf Sports Federation started at Hotel 71 in the city on Thursday.
 
A total 24 deaf chess players from Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia are participating in this event. 
 
The first games are held today (Thursday) with a total of eleven players earned full points by winning their respective matches. 
 
They are Md. Obaidul Islam Shahin and Md. Ali Newaz Sarkar of Bangladesh, Nessipzhan Laili, Donskikh Vladimir, Zhukovskaya Nina, Gorokhova Nataliya and Turmanov Berik of Kazakhstan, Kim Eduard Rakhatbekov Tilegen and Almazbekov Shabden from of Kyrgyzstan and Myagmar Tsagaannokhoi from Mongolia. 
 
The second round games were in progress in the afternoon when the last report came. 
 
The seven-round Swiss-League-style event will be held till April 28. 

The third round games will start tomorrow (Friday) from 9 am at the same venue.
