DHAKA, June 19, 2024 (BSS) – It was a mixed day for Bangladesh as the men’s team registered victory and women’s team suffered defeat in their respective matches of the ongoing Men’s and Women’s Junior AHF Cup Hockey in Singapore on Wednesday.

On the day, Bangladesh men’s hockey team maintained their winning run in the meet beating Thailand by 4-2 goals. With this third successive win, Bangladesh men’s team almost confirmed their spot of semifinals of the tournament with nine points in the table.

In the proceeding, Thailand took the lead in the 11th minute, but Bangladesh staged a brilliant fight back scoring four goals in the 15th, 26th, 40th and 48th minutes. Thailand scored their second goal in the 56th minute of the match.

On the other hand, Bangladesh women’s hockey team suffered a 0-3 goal defeat to Chinese Taipei with Chun scoring hat-trick with all three goals for the winning side in the 23rd, 35th and 45th minutes.
