TEAHUPO'O, France, Aug 6, 2024 (BSS/AFP) - Caroline Marks of the United States won Olympic women's surfing gold on Monday, pipping Brazil's Tatiana Weston-Webb by just 0.17 points in Tahiti in a thrilling final that went down to the wire.
The 22-year-old Marks, world champion in 2023, had a total score of 10.50 against the Brazilian's 10.33. France's Johanne Defay earlier took the bronze.
