DHAKA, June 23, 2025 (BSS)- The selection round National Men's Volleyball 
competition--30th men's and 25th women's-- inaugurated at Shaheed Noor 
Hossain National Volleyball Stadium in the capital today (Monday).

Chairman of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF) sub-committee Sharmin 
Hasan Tithi formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest.

BVF vice-president Masudul Alam, its general secretary Bimal Ghosh Bhulu, 
senior sports organising committee secretary Sohel Rana Linkon, women's 
volleyball sub-committee secretary Amirul Hossain Apon and other members of 
the committee were also present in the opening ceremony.

On the first day of the two day meet, Bangladesh Ansar and VDP beat 
Bangladesh Police by 3-1 sets and Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP) 
defeated Bangladesh Jail by 3-2 sets.

The top four teams of the selection round will qualify in the final round.

Seven teams of men's section-- defending champions Bangladesh Army, 
Bangladesh Air Force, Bangladesh Navy, Kushtia, Dhaka, Bogura and Rajshahi 
districts-- will directly play in the final round to be held from June 26-30 
at the same venue.
