DHAKA, Nov 1, 2025 (BSS) - BRACK Bank Aparajeyo Alo Women's Hockey tournament kicks off tomorrow (Sunday) at the Rajshahi zone, with two matches scheduled for the opening day.

On the day, Joypurhat district takes on Rajshahi district at 1:15 pm, while Dinajpur district meets Thakurgaon district at 3 pm.

A total of eighteen district teams, split into four zones --Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Jashore, and Cumilla -- , will take part in the meet, sponsored by BRACK Bank and organized by Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF). The nationwide event is part of a broader initiative to spread women's sports at the grassroots level across the country.

After the first phase, one champion team from each zone will qualify for the final round to be held in December, with BKSP joining as the fifth team.

Participating teams:

Zone 1 (Rajshahi venue) - Joypurhat, Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Thakurgaon, and Rangpur.

Zone 2 (Mymensingh venue)- Narayanganj, Kishoreganj, Dhaka, Netrakona, and Mymensingh. 

Zone 3 (Jashore venue)- Jashore, Narail, Jhenaidah, and Patuakhal.

Zone 4 (Cumilla)- Chattogram, Cumilla, Cox's Bazar, and Sylhet.
