DHAKA, July 27, 2026 (BSS)- Bangladesh national men's volleyball team continued their impressive form as they beat Sri Lanka by 3-2 set to reach the semifinal of CAVA Men's Volleyball Championship held today (Monday) at Liaquat Gymnasium in Islamabad, Pakistan.

In a highly competitive contest, Bangladesh displayed remarkable determination, resilience and excellent teamwork to defeat Sri Lanka and register their fourth victory of the tournament.

After narrowly losing the opening two sets, Bangladesh staged a brilliant comeback by winning the next three sets to seal a memorable victory.The top four teams of the championship will qualify for the semifinal.

The final will be held on July 29.

Earlier, Bangladesh beat Uzbekistan by 3-2 set in their tournament opening match but the boys in red and green suffered a straight 3-0 set defeat to host Pakistan in their second match.

Bangladesh, however, fought back as they beat Kazakhstan by 3-2 set in the third and beat Nepal also by the same margin of 3-2 set in the fourth match.
