DHAKA, July 29, 2026 (BSS)-Bangladesh national men's volleyball team finished runners-up as they suffered straight 3-0 set defeat to host Pakistan in the gold-deciding final of CAVA Men's Volleyball Championship held on Wednesday at the Liaquat Gymnasium in Islamabad, Pakistan.

This was the third times, Pakistan won the Cava Cup championship title.

Bangladesh also enjoyed an impressive run to the final. They began the tournament with a 3-2 victory over Uzbekistan before suffering a 3-0 defeat to Pakistan in the second match.

The men in red and green bounced back by edging Kazakhstan 3-2 in their third match and defeating Nepal 3-2 in the fourth to qualify for the semifinals.

Bangladesh then secured their place in the final with a commanding 3-0 straight-set victory over Uzbekistan in the first semifinal.

Pakistan, meanwhile, remained unbeaten throughout the tournament and advanced to the final after defeating Sri Lanka 3-0 in the second semifinal.
