BANDARBAN, July 17, 2025 (BSS) - All tourist spots and resorts in Lama upazila of Bandarban hill district have been reopened after being closed for seven days.

The announcement was made in a notice today signed by Lama Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Moin Uddin.

According to the notice, the tourist spots and resorts were closed on July 10 following a decision by the Upazila Disaster Management Committee, due to possible risks of natural disasters and landslides.

As weather conditions in Lama upazila have returned to normalcy, and based on a new decision by the Upazila Disaster Prevention Committee, all tourist spots and resorts in Lama will remain open from today.

Md. Moin Uddin said that the tourist spots and resorts were closed since 10 July due to adverse weather and fears of landslides. As the situation has now normalized, the tourist centres and resorts will remain open from today, he added.
