KHULNA, Sept 8, 2024 (BSS) - The government has handed over agri-inputs to flood-hit farmers in Paikgachha upazila of the district.

Upazila Agriculture Officer Ashim Kumar Das told BSS that the department of agricultural extension (DAE) has distributed aman paddy seeds among 200 flood affected farmers, vegetable seeds among 300 farmers and other crops seeds among 500 farmers free of cost in context of flood.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mahera Naznin said the government is providing all sorts of support to the farmers to help them turn around.

"We will give assistance including cash money for rebuilding the damaged houses in the flood," she said.
