EC to publish final voter list on Nov 18

DHAKA, Sept 22, 2025 (BSS) - The Election Commission (EC) will publish the updated final voter list on November 18 ahead of the upcoming 13th Jatiya Sangsad elections, said the EC in a press release issued today.

According to the EC release, in order to include in the final voter list those citizens who were born on or before October 31, 2007, the Commission has fixed the schedule for publishing the draft voter list, submission of claims, objections and corrections, as well as disposal of the submitted applications.

The last date for preparing the PDF of the updated draft voter list and sending the link to the concerned registration officer’s CMS portal at the field level is October 25.

The updated draft voter list will be printed on November 1.

The last date for submission of claims, objections and correction applications is November 16.

The deadline for disposal of such applications by the authorities concerned is November 17.

The final updated voter list will be published on November 18.

Earlier, on August 31, 2025 the EC published the supplementary final voter list. According to the list, as of August 31, the total number of voters in the country stood at 12,63,07,504 — of them 6,41,00,455 are male, 6,22,05,819 are female and 1,230 are transgender.

On that day, EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed said that citizens who will turn 18 by October 31 will also be included in the list, and the final voter list will be prepared accordingly.
