22.3pc growth of remittance inflow till Feb 2

DHAKA, Feb 3, 2026 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 22.3 percent reaching $19,759 million during the July 1 to February 2 of the fiscal year 2025-26, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today.
 
Last fiscal year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $16,159 million.
 
During the first two days of February of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $326 million, which was $197 million during the same day of the previous fiscal year.
