50.1pc growth of remittance inflow till March 9

DHAKA, March 10, 2026 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 50.1 percent reaching US$1,526 million in the first eight days of March, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued here today.
 
Last year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $1,017 million.
 
During the July to March 9, 2026 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $23,980 million, which was $19,507 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
