RAJSHAHI, March 27, 2024 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in an anti-
crime drive, arrested an alleged top-listed firearms trader with two guns and 
ammunition in Chapainawabganj district last night. 
 
The arrested person was identified as Hassan Ali, 23, son of Anisur Rahman of 
Asinpur village under Bagmara upazila in the Rajshahi district, said RAB 
sources here this afternoon. 
 
On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a drive in the Bela Bazar 
area under Gomostapur upazila in the Chapainawabganj district at around 11:50 
pm and arrested Hasan, they said. 
 
The RAB-5 team led by its commanding officer Lt Col Munim Ferdous said they 
seized one foreign pistol, one shooter-gun, two magazines and six rounds of 
bullets from his possession.
 
A case was filed with Gomostapur Police Station in this connection and the 
arrested person along with the seized firearms and ammunition was handed over 
to the police this afternoon.
