Friendly green learning visit programme held in Jamalpur

JAMALPUR, April 28, 2024 (BSS)-Speakers at a meeting here today said the students should be engaged in agriculture so that they could cultivate vegetables in abandoned places in schools and house yards side by side of learning.

It will bring mental peace and economic support to help the poor students, they said this while addressing a friendly green learning visit programme at Sharifpur High School under sadar upazila.

Under the programme, a total of 90 students and teachers of four high schools visited the vegetable field at Sharifpur School premises cultivated by the students of these schools.

After visiting, a discussion meeting was held at the school premises.

Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md Sanowar Hossain, Upazila Agriculture Officer Md Emdadul Haque, Programme Manager of Unnayan Sangha, Minara Parvin, President of Sharifpur School Managing Committee Altaf Hossain and its Headmaster Mizanur Rahman spoke, among others, at the meeting.

Unnayan Sangah and World Vision Bangladesh jointly arranged the programme.
