KHULNA, May 11, 2024 (BSS) - Police arrested two alleged members of a fraud syndicate from Pachrasta area under Nilphamari Sadar upazila on charge of taking bribes from different government employees in Khulna city on Friday.
 
The arrested members are Monwar Hossain, 45, son of Abdun Nur, resident of Mohabbat Bazitpara area and Shahjalal, 33, son of Abdus Samad, a resident of Sonaroy Ultopara area under Nilphamari Sadar upazila.
 
A team of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) in cooperation with Nilphamari police arrested the duo, KMP commissioner Md Mozammel Haque disclosed the matter in a press briefing today at the KMP headquarters in the city.
 
The arrested men are the active members of a fraud syndicate and have been running their cheating activities since long. They are also wanted criminals in several cases with different police stations, the KMP boss added.
