NETRAKONA Aug 16, 2024 (BSS) - A milad mahfil was held at the office of BNP Netrakona district unit here today.

     The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) arranged the milad mahfil marking the 80th birth anniversary of former prime minister and BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

     A large number of people from all walks of life including BNP and it's leaders and workers joined the occasion.

      Leaders of district BNP attended the mahfil including convener Dr Anwarul Haque, member secretary Rafiqul Islam Helali, former president and freedom fighter Ashrafuddin Khan, joint conveners Advocate Mahfujul Haque and S M Moniruzzaman Dudu and acting president of Netrakona pourasava BNP Kamrul Haque.

     The Milad Mahfil was followed by a special prayer seeking divine blessings of Almighty Allah for early recovery and long life of BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, peace and salvation of departed souls of Shaheed president Ziaur Rahman and all the martyrs who killed recently in the anti-discrimination student movement.
