CHAPAINAWABGANJ, August 22, 2024 (BSS)-Members of Rapid Action Battalion
(RAB) detained two alleged drug peddlers with 69.700 kgs of hemp from the
sadar upazila on Wednesday night.

The detainees were Md Nasir, 26 of Sheikhtola under Shibganj upazila in
Chapainawabganj district and Md Sajib Mia, 22 of Aksin Kollabari village
under Kosba thana in Brahmanbaria district.

RAB said, acting on detective information, an operation team of RAB-5
conducted a raid on the Chapainawabganj highway at around 11:30 pm and
detained a pick- up with the contraband.

Later, the elite force handed them over to the police of Chapainawabganj
sadar thana with a case.
