RAJSHAHI, Aug 28, 2024 (BSS) - Three persons, including a woman, were killed in two separate road accidents in Godagari upazila in the district today.

Police said the deceased were identified as Marzina Khatun, 50, Monirul Islam, 48, and Milon Ali, 38.

Ataur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Godagari Police Station, told BSS that Marzina Khatun was killed on the spot when a pickup van knocked her down from behind. She was walking beside the road around 5.30 am.

Meanwhile, auto-rickshaw driver Monirul Islam and his passenger Milon Ali were also killed on the spot when a passenger bus dashed their auto-rickshaw at the upazila headquarters around 8.30 am.

Police seized the bus along with detaining its driver. Two separate cases were recorded with Godagari Police Station in these connections.
