LAKSHMIPUR, Aug 31, 2024 (BSS) - A total of 112 victims have received 
treatment of snakebites in the district in the last 10 days, Civil Surgeon Office sources said.

Of them, 80 people have received snakebite injuries in Sadar upazila, 
seven in Raipur, 14 in Ramganj and 11 in Kamalnagar of the district. All of them, however, returned to their houses after receiving treatment in different hospitals.

"We have enough antivenom for snake bites," Civil Surgeon of Lakshmipur Dr Ahammad Kabir said, adding that so far a total of 112 snakebite victims have received treatment here during the ongoing floods.

He also urged the people to receive treatment at the soonest possible time if they are bitten by snake.
