CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Sept 11, 2024 (BSS) - A minor boy drowned in the river Purnabhaba at Rohonpur Begunbari under Gomastapur upazila of the district on Tuesday noon.

The victim was Abu Hanif, son of Dulal Ali, a resident of the area.

Police said Hanif was playing beside the river and suddenly fell into the river and went missing.

After searching for a couple of hours, local people recovered the body from the river.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gomastapur Police Station Chowdhury Zobayer Ahammad confirmed it.
