Wildlife Olympiad held in Nilphamari

NILPHAMARI, Oct 4, 2024 (BSS) - Wildlife Olympiad was held at Nilphamari Government High School ground in the district today to create awareness about wildlife protection.

Rezaul Karim of Nilphamari Forest Officer inaugurated the  Wildlife Olympiad as the chief guest this morning with Nalini Kanti Roy head teacher of the Nilphamari Government High School in the chair.

The Department of Forests under the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change organised the event.

The chief guest said that this event is to encourage the current generation about wild animals. Just as humans have the right to live on earth, every animal has the right to live. Wildlife Olympiad will play a role in creating compassion towards animals.

Later, the examination of the contestants participating in the Olympiad was held. Students of class VIII to X and XI and XII appeared in two groups.  A total of 20 students, including 15 from school level and five from college level, were declared champions and runners-up.

Of them, three students at the school level and three at the college level were declared champions.
