CHATTOGRAM, Nov 26, 2024 (BSS) - Police arrested a Dubai-bound passenger with Saudi riyal worth Taka 2.93 crore today at Chattogram Shah Amanat International Airport.

The arrested was Dulal Jamaddar.

Ibrahim Khalil, a public relations officer of Shah Amanat airport, said Dulal boarded a Dubai-bound US-Bangla Airlines BS-343 flight at 8:15 am on Tuesday.

Suspecting his movement, the crew challenged him and seized 9.21 lakh Saudi riyals (worth Taka 2.93 crore, he added.

Later, the US Bangla authorities took him along with his hand luggage to the security wing and informed the concerned including the Airport Security Wing, Air Force Task Force, Customs and Intelligence agencies.

The passenger was handed over to the airport customs.
