NOAKHALI, Nov 28, 2024 (BSS) - Noakhali district administration today organized a memorial meeting remembering the martyrs of July-August mass uprising at the Zilla Shilpakala Academy auditorium here.

Chaired by Deputy Commissioner Khandakar Ishtiak Ahmed, the meeting was addressed, among others, by district police super Md Abdullah Al Faruque, Civil Surgeon Dr Masum Ifthekhar, Jamaat-e-Islami Noakhali district unit Ameer Ishak Khandakar and BNP district unit joint general secretary Professor Liakat Ali Khan.

The family members of martyrs and injured were present at the memorial meeting.

After the meeting, a special munajat was offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of all the martyrs of student-led mass uprising and early recovery of all the injured persons of the movement.

Gifts were also distributed on behalf of District Administration to the family members of martyrs and injured persons.
