Brick kiln in Rangpur fined Tk 1.50 lakh

RANGPUR, Dec 31, 2024 (BSS) - A mobile court has fined a brick kiln ‘ABC Bricks’ Taka 1.50 lakh for not having legal documents to run the unit in Dakshin Panapukur village of Gangachara upazila of the district.
 
Official sources said the mobile court was conducted on Monday afternoon lead by Gangachara Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Executive Magistrate Mahmudul Islam Mridha.
 
During the operation, the authorities of ‘ABC Bricks’ owned by Shahid Chowdhury could not show the necessary documents of the brick kiln to the mobile court.
 
As a result, the Executive Magistrate collected a fine of Taka 1.50 lakh and took a bond from the brick kiln authorities that they would not operate the kiln illegally in future.
