8 held with huge stolen electric wire, easy-bikes in Khulna

KHULNA, Jan 30, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested eight people with 16-kilogram of stolen electric wires and four easy-bikes from two separate areas in the city last night.

Sources close to the Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) said the arrestees are: Shahin Bakshi, 23, Sujan Hawlader, 26, Badal Gazi, 22, and Tanvir Hawlader, 22. They hailed from different areas of the city.

On a tip-off, a police team arrested them with the stolen electric wire from Noyabati area under Khalishpur Police Station red-handed.

In another drive, Police arrested Sagar Mollah, 26, Ashif Sheikh, 20, Asadul Hossain, 28, and Helal Talukder, 30, with four easy-bikes from the Food Ghat area under Sadar Police Station.

Ahsan Habib, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Media) told BSS that two separate cases were lodged with the police stations concerned today.
