Envoy promotes Bangladesh-Mexico trade, investment cooperation

DHAKA, Nov 5, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Ambassador to Mexico Mushfiqul Fazal Ansarey has emphasized strengthening economic and commercial linkages between Bangladesh and Mexico, highlighting opportunities in trade, investment, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing during his recent official visit to Querétaro.

The Ambassador undertook the visit from October 29-30, 2025, to attend the 31st Mexican International Trade Congress, jointly organized by the Mexican Council for Foreign Trade (COMCE) and the Government of Querétaro, according to a message receive here today. 

During the visit, Ambassador Fazal held a bilateral meeting with Genaro Montes Díaz, Undersecretary of Economic Development of Quer,taro, where they discussed new avenues for cooperation and the importance of institutional partnerships between the business chambers of both nations.

The envoy also attended a networking reception at the Querétaro Art Museum, exchanging views with Governor Mauricio Kuri, Sergio Contreras, Executive President of COMCE, and Francisco Cervantes Díaz, President of the Business Coordination Council.

He later participated in the formal inauguration of the Trade Congress, which brought together senior government officials and prominent business leaders. The event showcased Querétaro’s emergence as a center for industrial innovation and nearshoring.

The Bangladesh Embassy reaffirmed its commitment to advancing bilateral trade and investment cooperation, underscoring the growing potential for economic partnership between Bangladesh and Mexico.
