Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, Rangpur Metropolitan Jatiyatabadi
Chatra Dal distributed winter clothes among cold-hit people in the city
today.
 
Member-secretary of Rangpur Metropolitan BNP Advocate Mahfuz Un Nabi Don in a
function distributed the winter clothes in a function arranged at Chawkbazar
near Ashratpur in the city as the chief guest.
 
Presided over by Rangpur Metropolitan Chhatra Dal convener Imran Khan Sujon,
its Member-secretary Rabiul Islam Rabi moderated the function.
 
Senior Joint Convener of Rangpur Metropolitan Jubo Dal Zahir Alam Nayan and
Joint Convener of the Metropolitan Volunteer Dal, Palash Talukder, and other
leaders were present.
 
Addressing the function, Advocate Mahfuz Un Nabi Don said, ousted fascist and
mass killer Sheikh Hasina is conspiring against Bangladesh from India in
various ways aiming to destabilizing the country.
 
"However, the patriotic people from all walks of life across the country are
ready to foil all sorts of the conspiracies being hatched by fascist Hasina
to safeguard independence and sovereignty of the country," he said.
 
Don said that the people have been deprived of voting rights for more than 15
years and want to elect their representatives by exercising their voting
rights.
 
"So, it is the demand of the hour to hold the Jatiya Sangsad elections after
completing the necessary reforms as soon as possible to restore the voting
rights to the people and to maintain stability in the country and," he said.
 
By holding the Jatiya Sangsad elections, the people will get their voting
rights back. If a political and elected government is in charge of the
country, it will be easier to deal with domestic and foreign conspiracies.
 
He said, "Tarique Rahman thinks about every person in Bangladesh even when he
is abroad for years. Tarique Rahman does not like the politics of violence.
We, as Tarique Rahman's soldiers, will stand by every person in Rangpur in
times of trouble and need."
 
On behalf of Tarique Rahman, distribution of winter clothes among the cold-
stricken poor and distressed people across the district will continue to
mitigate their sufferings.
