CHANDPUR, Jan 31, 2025 (BSS) – A man was killed after being hit by a pickup van on the
Chandpur-Faridganj road in Bagadi Union under Chandpur Sadar Upazila on Friday morning.
The deceased Nurul Islam Nuru Bhuiyan (45) was a resident of Sholdana village in Faridganj
upazila.

Quoting eyewitnesses, Bahar Mia, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chandpur Sadar Model Police
Station said the accident occurred at around 11:30 am near the intersection bridge on the
Chandpur-Faridganj road. A sand-laden pick-up van hit Bhuiyan’s motorcycle coming from the
opposite direction, leaving him dead on the spot.  

Police recovered the body from the spot. They also seized the vehicle and arrested the pickup van driver.

The process of filing a case is underway.
